  • Shamin and DChu in the spotlight!

    2011 - 04.29

Still a lot of busy-ness in our lives right now so we haven’t gotten around to posting a lot of pictures, but Shamin was able to team up with her “Twin” and epic photographer David Chu for yet another epic photo shoot.

Inspired by Wong Fu Productions, DChu and Shamin picked up a pair of Nice Guy T-shirts and did a shoot out near San Pedro.  The result is GREATNESS, you can check out all of the pictures at DChu’s photoblog.

Even bigger, Wong Fu Productions noticed the shoot and has featured it in a blogpost

If you’re not familiar with Wong Fu, they’re an independent Asian American film production company that started at UCSD and is now based in the 626. They were making viral videos before YouTube was even up and running.  They’re credited for paving the way for other Asian American stars on YouTube, such as KevJumba, Nigahiga, HappySlip and David Choi. Their work is immensely popular, with a YouTube viewership into the millions, and have been featured at the Cannes Film Festival, among others.

The Nice Guy shirts worn by Shamin and DChu were made first seen in “Just a Nice Guy,” embedded below. You can get the Nice Guy shirts, Spencer Bears, and other Wong Fu Production awesomeness from their store.
